The Difference In Night And Day

Carmi's theme this week is : Shadows

Why do we assume, when someone says, "She's just a shadow of her former self." that it's necessarily a bad thing?

I love both of these photos. Such a contrast. Excellent for the theme.

Absolutely Striking. And you make the point well both in words and in the photographs. I've never heard anyone say this. I relate to this in so many ways too.

my word is: sizedn (Sized In)

Ansel Adams once said, photography is painting with light. And, with light, there are shadows... to some degree or another all good photos use shadows for contrast and definition.

A rule of thumb for good photographers has always been never take pics at noon. Early morn and later in the day produce good shadows.

Besides, "Who knows what evil lurks...?" The Shadow knows.

Dark Shadows was a scary show when I was a kid.

My word verification was "Strin."
We should remember that. It feels important.

Thanks to Bobbie and Christy and Bill and C.S. Oh and The Shadow DOES know. Mmmmhmmmm. Yep. And Dark Shadows was a great show. I think it was like Buffy for my Mom.

Have you got that strin sizedn yet, guys?
