It Doesn't Take Much

This is a table lamp. It goes for $30 and up on Amazon but I found it at Goodwill for $5. The bulb even worked. How could I pass up a lamp with feet uglier than mine? It was impossible NOT to buy the little slice of sunshine and now my corner of the world is all the brighter for it.

My house is so dark with it's 1970's paneling. This time of year my mood can get even darker. If these tootsies can't cheer me up, I don't know what will! It's also inspired me to read again. Don't ask me how; it must be a very special lamp. It's been so long since I read a whole book I've never read before. I've just stopped reading. I blame it on my children. I blame everything on them. And my parents. But I believe in this lamp. This lamp will change everything. It will kick ass with it's feet.

Don't ask how I know these things. I just do.
