Hope Is The Thing With Feathers

Things haven't been nearly as perfect as they might seem.

I am searching for some answers.

I'm listening intently.

I'm following my heart.

I am waiting patiently.

I hold the key...

...to something beautiful.

 I know I do.

Forgive Me For The Fundraiser Emails

Our PTO is working hard to improve our school's playgrounds. One needs swings and one needs everything! These things are expensive and our school is located in a poor area. There is no sugar coating it. We're hard up for funds AND my kids are desperate to win their internet prize. So, I apologize up front if you receive THAT email from us. Discard it or buy some stuff! Either way is just fine.

The Graduate

I fussed and fussed about paying $30 for Kindergarten graduation pictures. But now it seems money well spent. I can tell you he is about to explode with pride in this photo. He's done so well this year.

We are very proud of him. And give his Daddy a cyber-highfive while you're at it. He did homework with him without fail. Even when he didn't want to. Even when Sam made it very hard not to quit. Every night he carried on.

Where was I? I filled in from time to time when work ran late but mostly I wrangled our little growling hellcat. She doesn't like Sam's homework time. It takes him away from her and keeps her out of the room.

Joe says she's my pupil next year.
He's going to continue to study with Sam.
So don't feel too sorry for him.

Are Bunnies Narcissists?

Sam called his bunny ears "sleek". He said, "Aren't these some sleek ears?" And I answered with, "Heck, yeah! They ARE sweet!" He corrected me twice. Bless his ears and mine!

Howdy, Pilgrim!

I cannot begin to tell you how well he did in his Thanksgiving program this year. He has come out of his shell a bit and it's a beautiful thing. Third from the left, back row...

He sings, he bobs his head, he smiles...

(To be continued...)
