I Love Lists

1. Joe's Honda is sporting a brand new set of brakes to the tune of a couple hundred dollars. Thank you, tax return.
2. Logan won third place in an art competition and is advancing to the state level.
3. Mom crashed her electric scooter. She has wicked road rash on her face. Her right knee is blown up like a birthday balloon. She went down in a mud puddle. And not any old mud puddle but THE mud puddle. That's enough for now, Karma.
4. Sam has T-ball tryouts tomorrow morning. They've already asked me to "volunteer" and I've already declined.
5. Never again will I act against what I feel in my gut. I will trust my intuition.
6. I won a calendar of New Zealand wildlife. I can't wait to receive it. I hear packages from NZ are da bomb.
7. I worry Zoe will never grow a full head of hair.
8. I've been thinking of the toys I loved as a child.
9. We just finished off the BBQ from our Superbowl party.
10. Today, I attended a baby shower for someone who is perfectly nice but who hasn't spoken 20 words to me in a year.
11. We are having a picnic at the park on Sunday. It will be 70 degrees and the sunshine will make us all feel less suicidal.
12. My Mom has embroidered enough quilt squares to make a quilt for Sam AND Zoe. I can't wait to show you the goods.
13. I don't have to be right all the time.
14. Our county passed an ordinance outlawing both specialty condoms and in-home sex toy parties. They did so in secret.
15. All hell breaks loose at our house at bedtime.
16. I'm an adopted, only child.
17. I love salt and vinegar potato ships and pickled peaches.
18. I cried for 20 minutes the other day over my long dead Sheltie, Cupid.
19. I'm thankful my husband is still employed.
20. I'm thankful that I am still employed.
21. My foray into Origami has not been as relaxing as I'd imagined.
22. While driving, I have the conversations I wish I could have with other people with myself.
23. We are going to grill out with friends in Villa Rica Saturday night. I am planning to take a fun and festive side dish.
24. Logan's school pictures arrived in the mail today.
25. I hope this qualifies as twenty five random things about me because it's all I've got in me tonight. Well, that and three glasses of wine.

Thank you and goodnight.

I know! Can you believe he was only four when you and I met? Sam's four now. It boggles the mind! We'll be sitting through graduation and rocking grandbabies before we know it.

The thing about remaining in your home town is how you are there to see ALL the baby showers, wedding showers, weddings, graduation receptions, and funerals. Sometimes it is awkward when you haven't seen the people in so long. I like this kind of post. I get to know you better. You took a hand at Origami? My husband still chokes up about his childhood cat sometimes too. Logan's eyes are intense and gorgeous. What were the toys you loved as

Hey me too! I mean, I also have conversations while driving that I wish I'd had at the time. And also I wish I had three glasses of wine in me tonight, because I think that feeling a little squiffy might be quite nice right now.
And I am not a mean person but I did laugh about your Mum crashing her scooter into THAT puddle. Karma has a memory like an elephant.
And I posted the parcel on Saturday so it should get there...oh, I dunno...soon?

Lets not even go there with that one.
