Beware The Earthstar

 

Kids found some Earthstar mushrooms in the backyard. 

Conversation as follows: 

Zoe: THAT'S GROSS! 

Sam: Don't eat it!

Zoe: I'm going to eat it.

Sam: Stand back, ZOE! (Pushes her back) Don't eat it. It's poisonous and you don't want to die before Christmas.

Note: They are not poisonous. They're eaten in Asia. North American indians believed they were stars fallen to earth during supernatural happenings.
