Joe was home with us for the past four days in a row. We went into full out celebration mode. We danced and sang and poured platters of Four Happiness and Happy Family all over our naked bodies and the days seemed (mostly) golden. Of course, it could've been the sauce that created the illusion.
Okay, so we didn't really do anything weird with the Chinese food. But amazing things happened, nonetheless. Joe did the chores while I twiddled my thumbs. He tended the children while I stared off into space. He also managed to play golf, twice. We attended dinners and cookouts. We had surprise drop-in company. The kids were able to thoroughly enjoy two of their favorite things- fireworks and a parade. So, a good time was had by all, believe you me. There is no denying it. We've been on a Goodtime Bender.
I awoke this morning and on my way to make my 10 o'clock mimosa, I fell into a bucket of ice cold Monday.

Welcome back to reality :)
Welcome to reality? Another mimosa, please and heavy on the Champagne and just skip the OJ.
Oh man, don't you just hate it when that happens?
Sorry your long and glorious weekend had to come to an end. I hope your Monday turns out well.
Have I mentioned lately that I love your playlist? I do.
Steph/Bill - I refuse to go quietly! I'm with Bill. Someone soak this leftover watermelon in vodka and call me when it's steeped in liquory goodness!
Kim - I do hate it and it really hasn't been that bad. It's 7:30 and Zoe's asleep and I'm going shopping unencumbered by wee ones. No one has mentioned the playlist yet but I was hoping-hoping someone would. The other one was depressing me. I really had a diverse taste in music. Is there any artist you especially like? Just curious.
I'm just gonna leave your playlist on while I sort papers. Who-hoo! Sorry about the reality thing. I avoid it as much as possible too. Zoe looks awesome.
Well, be careful on re-entry from that Goodtime Bender. Don't incur any injuries.
Jealous of your mimosas. Mmmm. I'm glad you had a tasty weekend!
"I fell into a bucket of ice cold Monday."
What a great metaphor!
Mimosa Monday sounds like a great new tradition. Followed up by Tequila Tuesday.
Love the picture. :)
Nana's Lady -I love this playlist, too!
Ms. Moon - Suffering just a headache...
Jen - I'm out of juice and champagne now :o(
Pru - My hubby was just reliving some dear tequila memories with me last night. Ahhhhh, tequila tuesday sounds great but men are not allowed. Men give tequila a bad name.
Mel - It turned out so nice! I love the colors and her little bow.
