This kid is something else. Everyone marvels at her. Okay, so just us and her grandparents marvel but that's only because she doesn't know that many people yet.
It's been really windy for days now. It's like being on the coast but we're not. We're really in a hollow surrounded by Georgia pines. Nevertheless, it's been one windy son of a gun for days. So windy for so many days, in fact, that I am sick of it. The kids, on the other hand, are acting as if we were on the beach. It makes them feel wild and free like a young horse on a cool morning.
Yesterday morning, we headed out to the van to drive down to my parents. As we stepped out the door, Zoe exclaimed it was "TOO WINDY" and went back inside. I was half-carrying Sam because he was half-sleeping. I just let her go while I got him in the van. Once Sam was settled in, I turned to see where she might be. Then I caught a glimpse of her through the window of the playroom. She seemed to be wrestling a teddy bear. From what I could tell, she was really giving it to Teddy. Then she jumped up with something in her hand and ran toward the back door.
This is what she was wearing when she came out. It's Teddy's knit hat. She said, "I couldn't find my hat." I looked in to see Teddy lying on the floor with only his tiny winter scarf for protection. His head was a little lopsided and strings and stuffing were poking out of the top of his head. Poor Teddy.
This is how Zoe does things. Nothing stops her. I hope it serves her well one day.

Love the picture. Was the hat sewn on? That is too funny. You go Zoe.
What an adorable story and photo! She is about cute as hell.
Have a good holiday weekend.
Love,
SB
Kim - 1. The other day, when you said you were confused then realized I was the "other Kim", I just about laughed my butt off. I want a t-shirt that says "The Other Kim" because there must be a million of us by now. 2. The hat was sewn on. She just ripped it off and Teddy be damned.
SB-Thank you ever so much. She IS cute. I hope that serves her well, too!
Resourceful! :)
Love that story.
I will google sleep behaviors.
Thanks for the info/feedback. I'm feeling like part of a club now. Weee heeeee.
Ah, yes. My friend Zoe is indeed a force to be reckoned with. I assure all of you that she will one day rule the world.
She's looking a little like a garden gnome in that photo...I like it!
