As Pure As The Driven Snow

No, I haven't waved a magic wand and produced snow in June. I've been cataloging digital photos for the Permanent Record and I ran across one of my favorites. I took the photo this past winter and it was the first time that the kids had lain eyes on the white stuff. A co-worker who saw this picture on my computer, leaned very close to the monitor and said, " I can't believe you did that!" I wondered about her religious beliefs for a moment, until she stated that it was surprising that Zoe wasn't frostbitten. I didn't know how to respond. I was flabbergasted. I just mumbled, "Uhhhh, well, you know..." and shrugged. It was just amazing to me that she could mistake something so obvious for something else altogether.

I showed the picture to my mom and told her about the exchange at work. Her response was not what I expected, either. She said, "These things wouldn't happen if that was Jesus sitting on your front walk!"

Touche, Mom...touche...

Jesus called me yesterday to ask about you. He wants to know where you've been.

Jehovah loves you. And your heathen son, too.
